| A nice reminder |
Me.. Waida.. Shaun.. Zareek.. Hasnor.. Morni.. we were the resilient ones who were always eager to learn a new song.
I'm blessed. Really. To be given the chance to do what I like. Yeah, work wasn't so easy at that time, but I always could let off steam via gamelan.
... And even now, I'm surrounded by nice people. People who make me smile.. people who cook for me and teman I go places..
Just now, I was interviewing some people (for an executive position in the Company) and he said he was willing to let go of the managerial position at his current organization just so he can join this Company. And I asked: "But why? Aren't they (his current company) paying you enough?"
To which he replied: "Yes, but this is THE Company that I want to work for. A reputable and stable organization. One that operates all over the world."
And I was stumped. I mean, I do take my employment here, in this Company, for granted.
I often forget all those people out there who would do anything just so they can join this Company. I forget all the benefits that you get when you join the Company. The extensive medical benefits. The business class travels. The opportunity to travel to various parts of the world.
How we always forget these things kan.. these blessings.
Anyway it's lunchtime and I'm in the office. Some awesome office mates are buying my lunch. I'm so spoilt kan... walhal home (and kitchen) is just like 5 mins walk away.. :)
Oklah. I'm just rambling. This post is just a reminder that I am blessed to have awesome people around me. That I should be thankful for a job that pays. For life's awesome adventures.
PEACE.
xoxo
I miss our gamelan session, too :'(
