I went back to Malaysia a few days ago to attend a Forum and some meetings in Kuala Lumpur. As always, going home is always fun..
Teringat lagu yang selalu dimainkan in the plane whenever we are almost arriving in Dubai (since Emirates' home is in Dubai).. and the song goes like this: It's always lovely going to London, Paris and Rome.. but it's even more lovely coming back home.... :)
Which is so true kan...?
So yeah.. it was a fun 8-days in Kuala Lumpur. Masih sempat spent one whole day in Singapore (flew out in the morning and flew in at night) to see Abang Sofi..
I'm blessed. Really. Which is why, at 8:30pm in this cold office, I have decided to blog about the trip.. about the friends who kept me sane.. about the people who made me smile..
This time around, I managed to meet up with Nels, Zuls and Sue.. and that was nice. We spent the whole afternoon together at my apartment just catching up on stuff. We ate and laughed and exchanged stories.
They made me realize that true friends will always find time for you. Always. :)
And yeah.. Ayul has been wonderful too. We braved the jam on Saturday night just so I could entertain my cravings for Kuey Teow Mali. Sedappppp.. the kuey teow.. nevermind the fact that I actually had slight tummy ache the next day. Heh.
Oh... and I went to Singapore just to see Abang Sofi. I hope he will get well soon. Sigh. Now that is a different story lah kan.. but it's a reminder for us to always be thankful for good health. A reminder for me to save money in case of anything.. and to be prepared for any eventualities.
Kena selalu bersyukur.. kena selalu ingat bahawa Allah boleh memberi dan mengambil bila-bila masa je - harta, kesihatan, kasih sayang..
Oh.. and Amni got married last weekend too. I wished I could have gone for the nikah.. but memang tak sempat. She looked gorgeous, nevertheless.. and I was happy that things worked out well. Alhamdulillah... :)
So itu lah.. my short stay in Malaysia. Oh.. was busy for 4 days, attending the Forum and a string of meetings. I blew my top at a Senior Manager, spoke my mind and lashed out my frustrations.
I must so learn to control my temper.. (actually, more like my emotions..)
I must remember that work is work.. Kerja mesti dengan ikhlas.. tapi tak perlu get all riled up. Must learn to be more soft spoken.. more calm.. Must learn to listen more, speak less and smile.
Oh.. lessons I learnt - work-wise. Even for that, I'm blessed.. to have bosses who mentored. Who reminded me that I have to "address the issues, and not the character".
In all honesty, I do miss Malaysia. For the food. The telur beefsteak and hot sizzling soup... the soto ayam and Mc Donald's burgers..
I miss Malaysia for the friends who have kept me sane. The ones who never seem to give up on me. Heh.
Feeling blessed. Alhamdulillah. I can never thank Allah enough for all He has given me.. including the lessons and the difficult people who came my way.
Okay. Need to go home. It's almost 9pm.. and I'm freezinggggg. Funny how the lights and aircond are still switched on at full blast.
Anyway, need to wrap things up and call it a day. Tomorrow, is another long day.....
xoxo
