The weekend that was

It's 8am on a Sunday and I'm already in the office. Spent most of the weekend doing research on the Africa trip.. and it suddenly hit me that it's gonna be an expensive trip.

Unfortunately, after all the research, my travel partner tak nak ikut pulak. The itinerary doesn't suit her, she said.

Sigh. What to do kan. I can't really go on long leave .. like I can't spend weeks or months on a trip. Maybe she was expecting more kot.. (and I could only spend 10 days, at the very most).

Takpe lah. Life is such.Things don't always go as planned anyway..

Anyway, apart from that, the weekend was relaxing and nice. Shazril and I went to the US Embassy on Thursday night for the happy hours party and that was nice. I kinda miss those parties (sebab the last time I went, I masih tak berhijab lagi..).

And on Friday, we had masak masak at the Complex (for everyone) and that was fun too..

The geng ordered the largest pizza I have ever seen in my life!

So yeah.. it was a fun-filled Friday. Sedap siot.. gulai tu..

And then semalam, I cooked the sambal tumis udang and telur dadar for Geng Tulips. Tu pun best. I always liked our makan makan session.. sebab semua akan bawa makanan. And everything tastes so good..

Yesterday, apart from the sambal tumis udang, we also had ikan bakar, tempe, sayur goreng and the baki gulai kawah from Friday night.

It's just so nice to chat with friends over good home-cooked food kan.. while the kids play at the hall..

Thank God for awesome friends, I tell ya..

And at night, we had roti canai and gulai kawah tu lagi. Oh.. and we also watched Sivaji The Boss. Funny movie.. but I slept halfway. Hahahahha..
