Banyaknya habuk..

My oh my.

It's been quite awhile since the last post. More than a month, actually. And so many things had happened in the past one month.

Ramadan came and went. Unfortunately, tahun ni, I haven't been a good girl. Banyak tinggalkan semayang terawih.. byk buat dosa-dosa jugak. Sigh. Semoga bertemu Ramadan akan datang, so that it will give me a chance to be a better Muslim.. to really take advantage of the holy month.

And so here's me, praying that I will get the chance to meet another Ramadan, in shaa Allah.



So what's been happening?

Nothing much..

Went to London for a crisis communications training and that was good. Then met up with my parents for Raya in London and that was cool. Cuma tu lah. Suddenly, it occurred to me that my parents are getting older. They walked more slowly and they get tired easily. They are no longer as energetic and we ended up taking the cab a lot.

I don't understand this whole PKR-Khalid issue. Actually, I don't understand PKR supporters yang masih support PKR. Don't they realize that the whole objective or main mission of PKR was all about Anwar? It was initially set up to "free Anwar" from prison. And now that Anwar is out of prison, the mission was to make Anwar the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Don't they get it?

Unless of course, they idolize Anwar and nak jadikan dia Perdana Menteri lah. Then maybe ok lah kot to support Anwar.

So yeah. Whatever lah. Malaysian politics is a big joke. But then again, I think politics is a big joke pun, regardless the location.

Oh. Another Malaysia Airline aircraft crashed in Ukraine. That is sad. Shuba, my ex classmate in school was on that plane with her hubby and baby girl. But such is life kan? I just hope they get to find her body and give her a proper burial.

She was such a free spirit, that Shuba. She would save money just to travel the world. And when she runs out of money, she would backpack or work in a restaurant to do dishes or whatever, just to get by.

She would travel for months, and come back to Malaysia only when she's run out of money.. or is tired and nak balik and do proper job. Like acting. She was an actress.. did some plays and was featured in some film and drama.

Rest in peace, Shubs. You were an amazing girl and you've lived a good life.

Oh and then there's this boycott issue ni. Suka hati korang lah nak boycott ke apa. As long as you know why you are boycotting it. And telling me "oh, sebab the company is funding Irael" is not a good reason for me to join you in your boycotting. Sebab banyak ke the funding tu? Funding in what way? If the money goes for education, are you still boycotting?

By the way, oil companies also fund (some) highly corrupted Governments. Some Governments also supply arms to their people during war. Are you going to boycott those oil companies too? Or is your boycott specific to Gaza and Israel?

If that is the case, you support Gaza but ignore other wars and displacements and terrors?

So tu lah. As of now, I am not boycotting anything. I mean, I bersimpati lah ngan the Palestinians tu.. tapi for now, I will only offer them my prayers. And contribute where I can to anyone yang kutip derma ni.

Apa-apa lah. Life is too short to fight (with friends) over this boycotting issue. Nak boycott, atau tidak, itu hak masing-masing. You should never judge a person by his/her boycotting preference.

Ada orang tu, bersemangat lah kat FB nak boycott itu dan ini. Nak perjuangkan hak Islam etc. Tapi in real life, manners pun takde. Rosakkan harta benda orang. Or tak say thank you for little things. Etc. I mean, apa guna macam hebat perjuangkan Islam and Palestinian, when diri sendiri tak berbudi bahasa?

Bukan ke Islam itu penuh sopan dan adab? Saling hormat-menghormati?

Nabi Muhammad memang pergi berperang.. tapi he did not go and fight every battle.. or kill every man yang menentang Islam. Ada kalanya, Nabi pun menggunakan kelembutan dan budi bahasa to win over the non-Believers.

I respect my friends yang boycott McD or Starbucks. Mungkin mereka ada sebab tersendiri why they despise the companies. Tapi jangan lah aib-kan syarikat tu, kalau takde bukti. Bukan kah itu fitnah namanya? Sebab you don't know the company's policies pun...

Tapi tu lah. If you think you have valid reason.. then go ahead. Tak mati pun, kalau tak makan McD burger or minum kopi Starbucks.

Cuma please respect orang lain jugak yang tak nak boycott. Itu hak masing-masing.

Sama macam penyokong Anwar tu. If they think Anwar will make a good PM and nak bermati-matian sokong Anwar, sila kan. Tapi Negara ni berdemokrasi. So majority wins. If majority thinks Anwar tak layak jadi PM, jangan lah pulak kata orang yang tak sokong Anwar ni bodoh etc.

Itu hak masing-masing. Kan?

Ok. Penat bersyarah. I nak tidur. Tadi ada event. Anyway my weekend starts now.
