A night with Prof Muhd Kamil

Err.. Prof who?

Prof Muhd Kamil was an unfamiliar name to me until about two months ago. I was holidaying in Europe and someone was kind enough to lend me the 'Travelog Haji' book. "Read it," he said. "It's good."

And I was intrigued.
Inilah buku yang menemaniku di Amsterdam dan Belgium
Actually, it's an 'okay' book. Lebih kepada pengalamannya menunaikan haji. Bila baca buku tu, apa yang dipelajari is that when you want something really bad, berdoa lah.

He prayed so hard when he was performing his haji. Tuhan permudahkan segalanya because he really wanted to do his best masa haji.

Well.. he's in Sudan now, sebab him and the family (all 7 of them) are sending off their boy to study in Khartoum. Belajar apa dan di mana, gue nggak tahu. Heheh.

Okay.. Prof Muhd Kamil was a Professor at UiTM and I think now, he's teaching in Madinah.

Honestly, I don't know much about him but tadi, lepas Maghrib, ada ceramah.. and he was telling how one shouldn't be afraid to perform the haji. "Orang selalu kata takut nak pergi haji.. belum bersedia kerana terlalu banyak dosa.. Di Mekah, Tuhan bayar cash, kata mereka," he quipped.

But he believed that everyone can do their haji, for as long as they really want to do it. Even those yang banyak dosa.

Tetiba, teringat diri ini yang terlalu banyak dosa. I only wore the hijab early this year. I semayang tak ikut waktu... sesuka hati qada'. Semayang terlalu laju that sometimes it was over before I even knew it.

Memang, diri ini terlalu kerdil. Terlalu banyak dosa. Layakkah pergi menjadi tetamu Allah tahun ni?

But Prof Kamil reminded: "Doa banyak banyak.. moga dipermudahkan."

So it was a good ceramah.. although I have to admit that I was playing Candy Crush while listening to him. Heh. That was before I got stuck at Level 82 and got fed up lah. :)

Oh lagi satu pesan Prof. Orang selalu puasa Isnin and Khamis.. tapi dia kata cuba lah 'Puasa Daud'. Which is actually, puasa on alternate days. Hmmm. Interesting. Geng Tulips memang rajin puasa pun.. (well, they all rajin puasa lah.. I yang slalu ponteng.. heheh..)

So maybe it's time I try out 'Puasa Daud' ni. Cuma kena google lah sikit.. and find out more. Like apa niat 'Puasa Daud' ni etc.

Itu lah. Ceramah malam ni. Esok, also after Maghrib, he will be talking about "Bersyukur Saat Diuji". Hmmm.. how apt kan? So insya Allah, esok I will head over to the surau again masa Maghrib. (Sigh.. times like these, rindu jugak Ezlin and Qis.. We used to go surau together dulu..)

Dodi sempat ambil gambar dinner that was served after the ceramah. Malaysian students masak kari karuf today. Yumssss..
Speaking of food, I am so thankful to Izman and Rosli today. They really, really made my day.. Blessed is having awesome people like them around me.. :)

Izman spent the weekend in Dubai.. and when he got back tadi, he texted to tell me that he got my popcorn and burger. And I'm like "wooooaaahhhh". I mean, I did ask if he could buy me some Garrett popcorn.. but I TOTALLY forgot to tell him to buy my ultimate McD's double cheeseburger! But he remembered.. awwww... and so, I now can eat my double cheeseburger for lunch esok. Alhamdulillah for the awesome rezeki..

Food can definitely turn my world around!
And Rosli pulak just got back from KL semalam.. and he got me Gardenia's Butterscotch bread. Which was my lunch for today. Well, I had a slice of it for lunch, and was munching another slice on my way home petang tadi.
Sedapppppppppp...
Yes, I'm blessed. So so blessed. See.. for every one person who made me sad, God sent awesome people around me to make me smile. Alhamdulillah... :)

"La Tahzan" (Jangan Bersedih)
Ok. Time to sleep. *yawnnnn* xoxo
