Intelligent men are just so mindblowing kan?

Okay. I baru habis meeting and was supposed to do some work. But I got distracted by an intellectual discussion.

And now, I just have to blog about it.

Kaaannn?

If there's one way to get my attention, it's to get me in a discussion and impress me with things that I don't know.

Oh yes. Intelligent men are such huge turn ons! Doesn't matter if he talks about politics or health or oil production. As long as he tells me things I don't know, I'm hooked.

Tapi, masalahnya, ramai orang yang perasan pandai. Or they tend to berlagak macam dia pandai. Padahal, dia quite shallow lah. To me, I prefer the intelligent, unassuming person. One who would engage me in a discussion and treat me as equal.

So yeah, I might not know much about oil production (contohnya). Tapi he still patiently talks to me about it and discusses it with me like we're equals. Cam I sama pandai dengan dia.. Now that is mindblowing, to me.

The thing is, if you memang pandai, you don't have to scream or wear a card around your head saying that you are pandai. If you are pandai, you will be noticed for being pandai. Like you're confident when answering questions. Or you always ask the right questions.. and your observations are always spot on. When you are pandai, you are keen to ask more and discuss more.. because you realize that the more you know, the more you don't know sebenarnya.

It's like doing research lah. There's no end to knowledge. Even someone with a PhD will resign to the fact that there's still so much to learn, despite being a subject matter expert.

So yes. I'm swooning. Temporarily. Sebab I just had this awesome discussion. Short discussion - which lasted for like 15 mins - but it was awesome. It was awesome sebab it was informative yet funny. I learned new things and got new info.. but I know he didn't frown upon me just because I didn't know. He didn't make me feel stupid. Instead, he engaged me in the discussion further, allowing me to probe and rebut.

It feels nice to not feel stupid. Often, I'm being left out in discussions because it was perceived that I don't know much and I don't observe. Which is a good thing jugak.. sebab sometimes, it's best to shut up when it doesn't concern you or your work.

Don't interfere. Stay out of it. Sebab who are you to express your opinion.

Until... you come across someone who knows you've got something in your head and wants to hear you out. Awesome I tellya.

So yes, it's only 10.44am.. but I'm thinking it's a pretty good day already.. :)

Now I really need to get back to my mundane emails.. heh.. xoxo..
