Night ramblings

It's almost 11pm and I have just finished doing a montage (for tomorrow's event). I still have to write my Chairman's speech before I call it a night.. tapi kena blog jugak dulu.

Well, I was browsing through Facebook a few minutes ago, and saw my friend's status. This was a friend who popped the question (to ajak I kawen) in 2010, I think. I said "no", of course, because he's married.

Tapi masa tu, ada hati lah kan, cakap kat I that he's serious about making me his wife, sebab he's got some issues with the missus. "One day, I will tell you everything," he said. From the tone of his voice, macam ada marital problems je mamat tu.

Whatever it is, I said "no".. simply because I don't want to get involved with a married man. "Even if you divorce your wife, I cannot handle your extra baggage," I told him. He got offended, of course, sebab I referred to his kids as "extra baggage". But it's true kan. I mean, if I were to marry him, I'd share the responsibility of raising his kids. Isn't that added responsibility for me? He did come with extra baggage kan?

I remember him showing me his appointment letter when he got a new job. Five-figure salary, of course, but the letter also said that he's entitled to a car, a driver and a paid once-a-year holiday for the family. I remember shrugging, as if I wasn't impressed at all.

In all honesty, I wasn't impressed pun.. sebab all I could think about was sharing everything he has with his 3 children and probably an alimony payment.

And then he got himself a brand new BMW 5 (or was it 7?) series and when he picked me up for dinner from my house, he would tell me that I should feel flattered that he himself drove to pick me up sedangkan he always got his driver to send him everywhere.

To me, apa-apa lah. He's a friend and when we actually go out for dinner, the conversation would always revolve around work. Because he knows I will not just simply go out for dinner with him, he always uses alasan "nak discuss pasal kerja" to take me out.

To cut a long story short, he gave up on me and I've not seen him in months. Tapi just a few months ago, out of the blue, I got a 'friend request' from him on Facebook. I didn't think much of it lah.. and said yes. After all, we are friends kan..

Tapi tadi, I was browsing through Facebook and saw his status. A picture of him and his wife. He was giving a talk somewhere and the wife was just next to him. He wrote something about how lucky he was (is) to have found a wonderful wife.

Eh...? I thought he was having problems with the wife?

So I went through his Facebook (first time I browsed through his page since we became Facebook friends) and I saw lots of happy pictures. Even in 2010 when he wanted to (kononnya) marry me, he had happy family pictures - him, the wife and their 3 kids. They sure as hell don't look like a problematic family!

Ish. Lelaki kan? I wouldn't like to generalize men.. for I have met a lot of decent, loyal ones. But lelaki macam ni, buat I wonder.. he's such an intelligent man.. tapi kenapa nak tipu perempuan? He's always talking about nation building and helping people.. so why would he want to hurt me? What if I had fallen for him, only to be dumped later on because it's very obvious that he will not leave his wife and kids.

Sigh. Whatever lah. Itu lah my ramblings malam ni. I am just thankful I don't have any feelings for this man.. tapi deep down, rasa kecewa jugak lah sebab kena tipu. Nasib baik lah I have always shielded myself from married men.

Oh well.

Anyway, semalam, Izman and I went to Al Salam Rotana Hotel and had the seafood buffet. Ya ampuuuuunnn.. it was soooooo sedap! We had lobsters and crabs and prawns and squids and fish and mussels. Alhamdulillah... :) (The buffet cost about SDG260 each.. about RM130 lah.. which is so berbaloi, I think..)
The crab was soooo sweet and sedap..
The salmon was good but the sushi rice was kinda keras..

Awesome dessert
Onion rice, delicious crab in tomato sauce and potato gratin
Puddings and cakes
Ahhhhhh... lobsters. So so delicious!
Octopus? Heh
They even have octopus salad
Looks like ikan bawal, tastes like ikan bawal
Special request - grilled fish
Dessert yang best giler. I so love the chocolate cake..
We're definitely satisfied customers.. heheh.
Ok lah. Gotta get back to work. I still need to write that speech.

Nite all.. xoxo
